Introduction

BWC, Chennai takes pleasure to organize a three day workshop on “Application of GIS for Research Students”.

SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) can take data from almost any type of file and use them to generate tabulated reports, charts, and plots of distributions and trends, descriptive statistics, and conduct complex statistical analysis. The purpose of this workshop is to capacitate the Research scholars to discover Statistical methods using SPSS. The Objective of the workshop is to bring the hands on experience of SPSS for the Research Scholars, faculties and Students, to bring the Awareness of SPSS to all non-technical and technical candidates, to give Identification of appropriate statistical tools for the candidates and applied problems and to provide hands on training in the application of SPSS.

Expected Outcomes

The participants are expected to benefit from the workshop is enhanced understanding of Statistics, clarity in SPSS application, ability to organize data sets, improved analysis and interpretative skills.
