Resource Centre mainly catering to the information needs of the Faculty, Research Scholars and Students. The library has 55,217 books, 69 journals and 512 back volumes for referenes.Automation of this library consisting of over a fifty thousand books and documents was made possible by the initial financial support of the UGC grants and Government of Tamilnadu. The Library is in the process of modernization.

Digital Library

Students avail this facility provided by the digital library at free of cost. The library is kept open on all working days from 9.00 am to 3 pm. Post Graduate and M.Phil. Students regularly visit the library for their project work.

Bharathi Women’s college subscribes to UGC INFLIBNET (Information Library Network). National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST) which makes it possible for it to have access to 31,35,000 e-books and 6,000 e-journals. Every student and every faculty member has individual access to N-List (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly content. N-List enhances e-learning. Scholars and teachers have access to the full text of journal articles and also archival back issues of journals in all areas of learning.

General Library

During the academic year 2013-14, the librarian had organized a workshop on “Optimal Use of e-resources for research scholars” on 25.0-2.2014. The objectives of the workshop focused on open access, imitative with various searching techniques across the domain, irrespective of the subjects. Dr R. Balasubramni,Asst. Professor, and Dr M. Surulinathi, Asst. Professor, Dept. LIS, Bharathidasan University were delivered the keynote address.

With the collaboration of Tamilnadu State Council for Higher Education, during the academic year 2014-2015, the librarian had organized a State Level Workshop on “ICT Tools and techniques for research analysis on the 17th of October ,2014. The workshop aimed at the assessment of research performance and focused on the contribution of scholarly work, particularly Scientometrics and closely related approaches to assess scientific publications, using ICT Tools and Techniques.
